Creative Writing Lessons, Workshops and Mentoring Sessions
Author Sandra Wilson offers classes, courses and sessions designed to inspire a love of writing stories in children. Sandra’s interactive lessons offer a focus on inspiring the creativity behind a story but also define the foundation of a story so students can build on their storytelling skills.

Book package – working together to create a printed book

2 visits (1 to brainstorm ideas for the book and the second for the book launch)

Creative Writing Classes:
​
Workshop – 1 hour - $75
This is a one-off session that introduces the idea of inspiration behind stories, includes a story reading of one of Author Sandra Wilson’s book with a short behind the scenes “look” at how the story came to be made. There will be a brief lesson on finding inspiration of your own with encouragement to go off and create some stories.

Classes – 1 hour each (must book 2 or more) - $65 each
These interactive classes are designed to build storytelling skills in kids by offering opportunities for them to create an idea for a story and learn how to build the foundation to help them bring the story to life. Each class would get them a step further to completing their own story.

Courses – 4 week ($250) or 6 week ($380)
These courses are designed to take the students from inspiration to complete story. Each one-hour class offers lessons and activities to get them started on a story, build that story and bring the story to a successful conclusion. The 6-week course offers added input from Author Sandra Wilson on the stories themselves, and the steps to create them into a book.
Author Visit - $50/hour
Author Sandra Wilson is happy to visit a school, classroom or group to share one or more of her stories. There is also opportunity for a question-and-answer session with the author.
Private Sessions: Creative Writing Coach for your child
Online: Through online sessions she will inspire your child's creativity, build their storytelling skills and help them bring their book to life! Sessions will be booked as needed up to 6 hours in total. $270.00

In-person: Through games, lessons and encouragement she will inspire your child's creativity, build their storytelling skills and help them bring their book to life! Sessions will be booked as needed up to 6 hours in total. $350.00

Any in-person session outside of Waterloo Region will have travel fees added to the invoice.
